Spiritual Reflections for Travelers
This is a book about spirituality, more specifically, the spiritual journey. Before beginning any journey or trip—spiritual or otherwise—we experience a state of order. Then comes the call to journey, to travel, to take a trip, to walk, to pilgrimage, to hit the road, etc. The call to begin a journey may come from an urge within us; it may be an invitation from a spouse or a friend to fly somewhere; it may be as simple as taking the dog for a walk in the neighborhood, even taking different streets! The call disrupts our ordered lives. We prepare for our excursion. We enter into the stage of chaos when we take the journey; also, we enter into the process of transformation. By the time we get home, we will be transformed. These are the steps of the spiritual journey into God: order, hearing the call to journey, answering the call with preparation, entering the chaos of the journey, and being and coming home transformed. Ninety-seven reflections are presented in this book in seven chapters devoted to journey; road; path; route, highway, gateway; walk; way; and more.

In my Spiritual training as a minister, I would be required to give talks based on Bible readings I would pick, or they would pick me, based on experiences in life. My best writings came from nature hikes, meditating on issues on my mind. I found nature would speak to me as I would walk my hikes. I loved hiking in the Whitesell of Manitoba. It had a spiritual hold on me. It has voices once you are tuned out from the world and tuned into the sounds of nature. I felt I could Speak my inner thoughts with God and receive guidance through God's influence on the universe. Then I would be inspired to write what I received. These are the published talks of what I would learn.
This book will have you looking at life differently on a daily basis.

On Faith, Values, and Culture
This book addresses the deeper issues that matter most in life: faith, wisdom, values, spirituality, relationships, connection, and self-reflection. As our world becomes more and more secular, people remain restless and hungry to discuss these important topics. What does it mean to grow spiritually? What does it mean to do meaningful soul work? What are the values and priorities that should matter most? What type of culture will our children and grandchildren inherit? Here are a few insights that I believe to be true. -All human beings long for meaning and deeper purpose in their lives. -Jesus Christ continues to speak to and challenge our culture. -Issues of character and integrity are very important. -Growth in the spiritual life has become much more challenging in this busy age of technology, multi- tasking, and over-commitment. -Relationships are essential and can cause great joy and fulfillment as well as pain and heartache. -Politics and ideology have become both polarizing and toxic in many ways, deeply dividing families and friendships. -Wisdom is much more valuable than knowledge. -Social isolation and loneliness will continue to be one of the great challenges of the twenty-first century. -We live in an age of anxiety, where fear abounds and overwhelms many. -We all long to move beyond superficiality to a much deeper level of connection. -There are many values that must be passed down from generation to generation
